Retail opens locations at Jean-Lesage Airport, Quebec City |

HDS Retail North America was proud to take part in the official inauguration of the new terminal at Jean-Lesage Airport in Quebec City on Friday, June 6.
The festivities involved such dignitaries as the Premier of Quebec, Jean Charest; ADQ Chairman of the Board, Gaëtan Gagné; ADQ President and Chief Operating Officer, Pascal Bélanger; Provincial Minister of Health and Social Services, Philippe Couillard; Federal Minister of Canadian Heritage, Josée Verner and Quebec City Mayor, Régis Labeaume, where the airport also officially unveiled its new logo. As airshow and reception completed the large scale event.
With the grand opening of three retail locations in the airport, HDS has a solid presence in the $65 million modernized terminal. Two Relay locations (one in-line store and one kiosk) as well as a Boutique Hors Taxes (Duty Free) are now open for travelers and with t he new terminal providing services to all domestic, transborder and international flights under one roof, all passengers will be exposed to the new RELAY and Duty Free stores.
The new terminal was open in time for this year's celebrations of the 400th anniversary of Québec's founding which have started, and will continue through the rest of 2008. These changes and upgrades will put Jean-Lesage International Airport in a better position to attract additional airline carriers, as well as have the ability to handle as many as 1.4 million passengers a year. |
